Changed my oil today and only about 2qts came out really thick and dark. Last time I changed it was about 3k miles ago, put 3.5qts in. Problem is that there are no leaks i can see and there's no smoke coming out of my exhaust. Could it still be burning oil even if it doesnt smoke? Any other ideas where the 1.5qts went LOL? My car has 116k miles btw

Hm, I'd just keep checking it often and keep tabs on it. My del sol burned about a quart every 1k miles even though there wasn't really much of any visible smoke coming out the tailpipe.

i bet money on it the the cam or crank seal is leaking check for residue behind the timing cover
